The Circle of Life is simple. We get born and we die, hopefully before we die we get to create a “life” that will enter into that circle of live-die to which we realize—life is really that simple.
And there are those who assume there is more to life than, well, living and dying; or maybe there are: we humans living the life making it unneccessarily complex, what more is there to it?
My heart goes out to my Haitian friends and family who are devasted by the recent earthquate. The case makes me think about life and why it shoul dbe less complex. In a life where we are running after the “perfect” everything—house, cars, money or whatever, dying takes seconds and it is, all gone.
All. We brought nothing when we were born and will take nothing out of it. I’m reminded again that if I live in Haiti and my house comes crubling, crushing me to death, in my small capacity, what have I done that will have carved my name on people’s heart?
